Board of Trustees

The business and affairs of Environmental Charter School are governed by a Board of Trustees. Their responsibilities are set forth in the 2008 Charter between ECS and the Pittsburgh Public School District. This includes determining general, academic, financial, personnel, and related policies deemed necessary for the administration and development of ECS.

To become a Trustee, a person is nominated by the Governance Committee. Trustees are elected by a majority vote of the Trustees present at that meeting, provided that those present constitute a quorum. Once elected to the board, Trustees can serve two three-year (3-year) terms.

These individuals volunteer their time and talents to advance the mission and vision. We are grateful for their service and governance.

You may email the board at ecsboard@ecspgh.org.
