The ECS Board of Trustees meets on the third Wednesday of every month except July.

The ECS Board of Trustee Portal contains all the information you will need regarding board meetings.

Meetings are held in the Cafe at the Middle School which is located at 5525 Columbo Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Meetings are open to the public and occur on the following dates:

The Environmental Charter School Board of Trustees regularly reviews, revises and adopts policies. The Board maintains its policies on its portal. They can be found here. Stan O'Loughlin is an attorney specializing in complex litigation and government affairs.  After living in Brooklyn for fifteen years, he recently returned to Pittsburgh and is currently Associate Counsel for Student Affairs and International Engagement at the University of Pittsburgh.

Previously, Stan served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the New York Attorney General for over a decade.  While there, he served in a number of roles, including as acting Section Chief of the Commercial Section and as a senior attorney in the Education Section, where he regularly represented the State Education Department.  Stan is a two-time recipient of the Lefkowitz Award, the Office's highest honor, presented personally by the Attorney General.  He also previously worked in private practice.  

Stan received a B.A. in Economics from Colby College and received his J.D. from Cardozo Law School where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.  Immediately after law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable D. Michael Fisher of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.    

Stan and his family live in Squirrel Hill - approximately four blocks from where he grew up.   

Megan Leitch is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Sylmar Group, a water sector services company tackling water quality and quantity challenges for municipalities and industrial companies. Previously, Megan served as a Civil Engineer Officer in the United States Air Force, deploying frequently overseas on expeditionary construction missions. She then earned her PhD in Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, researching mass and heat transport in water treatment membranes, and then consulted for McKinsey & Company, leading strategy and operational excellence projects for large manufacturers and utilities, with a focus on water management and stewardship.

Megan lives in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield/Friendship neighborhood with her husband (Jay), two kids (Greta and Freddy), and Great Dane (Leeloo Dallas Multipass). She's a lapsed rower and plans to get back to it one of these days.

Adam Z. Tobias, MD, MPH, is an emergency physician at UPMC and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan and completed medical school, emergency medicine residency, and a fellowship in emergency medical services (EMS) at Pitt. He also obtained a Master of Public Health degree and a certificate in public health preparedness and disaster response at Pitt's Graduate School of Public Health. He is board-certified in both emergency medicine and EMS.

Adam is active in undergraduate and graduate medical education, serving as Associate Program Director of Pitt's emergency medicine residency, and in EMS, serving as a medical command physician for ground and aeromedical EMS and commercial airlines. He is also actively involved in disaster preparedness and response at UPMC. He has previous experience serving on the board of directors of both the Allegheny County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He enjoys cycling, travel, and hiking in Frick and Schenley parks with his family.

Adam is the proud parent of two ECS students and is excited to contribute to the school community.

Rohit Acharya is a founding partner at Common Good Labs, a research organization that designs actionable solutions to improve communities. Common Good Labs uses data science tools to empower leaders at foundations, non-profit organizations, and government. 

Rohit is also a nonresident fellow at the Brookings Institution where his expertise lies in using applied data science to generate new insights into the challenges found in U.S. cities. His research focuses on reducing poverty without displacement, enhancing public safety and health outcomes, improving education, and building wealth among low-income populations

Rohit serves as a board member for community development nonprofits New Sun Rising in Pittsburgh and City Lore in New York City. He previously worked as the co-founder and chief data scientist of First Access and in portfolio management at Bridgewater Associates.

Rohit holds a B.A. in applied mathematics from Harvard University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

As Director of Real Estate Development, Matthew Rendulic is focused on the dynamic development, planning, delivery, and management of space for the University of Pittsburgh. In this position, Matthew oversees the active growth for the University on a complex urban campus.

Previously, Matthew managed over $100 million dollars in capital construction projects for the Office of Facilities Management. In this role, he oversaw the planning and construction of campus projects for a variety of clients including Athletics, Health Sciences, Arts and Sciences, University Counsel, Finance, and other key departments. Matthew also served on several advisory groups within Facilities to aid in the modernization of project management systems.

Prior to the University of Pittsburgh, Matthew was director of development for a Pittsburgh-based real estate development firm. Rendulic was responsible for the ground-up development of K-12 education, hospitality, and multi-family projects.

Outside his role at the University, Matthew remains highly engaged in the community as a whole and serves on his local planning commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from John Carroll University.

Chante Faulk, LSW, has worked and gained experience in the field of behavioral health in many capacities for well over twenty-five years, serving both children and adults. As Manager, Special Projects at Community Care Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of the UPMC Insurance Services Division and the country’s largest non-profit behavioral health managed care organization, Chante works collaboratively
with Allegheny County Office of Behavioral Health and other community partners in the development and implementation of behavioral health programs that improve service delivery and impact service utilization.

Chante also works one on one, providing clinical therapy to adults in a clinical setting for a small private practice located in the Squirrel Hill area. Chante is actively involved with and serves on the board of directors of the Northside Christian Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center. Its mission is to provide whole-person primary health care to underserved persons on the Northside of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. She also serves on the DEI Committee of the Northside Christian Health Center, ensuring equality and equity for all staff and members served within the walls of the clinic and the communities that the health center serves and supports.

Chante is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Africana Studies in 2000 and Master of Social Work in 2005. Chante and her family reside on the Northside of Pittsburgh, where they enjoy supporting their community through various activities and sports leagues. Chante is the proud parent of two current ECS students.

Brandon Forbes is the District Director for Congresswoman Summer Lee for Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District. Brandon has over a decade of public service in Allegheny County. Brandon has worked in Government Affairs for Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services, served in the Office of the Mayor of Pittsburgh, the City of Pittsburgh’s Grant Office, and as a Chief of Staff on Pittsburgh City Council.

In addition to working for local government, Brandon has also served in an elected capacity as a member of the West Deer Township Board of Supervisors, and as a member of the West Deer Home Rule Charter Commission, which oversaw changes to the Township’s charter and form of government.

Brandon has an undergraduate degree from King University in religion and history, and a Masters from Duke University in ethics and philosophy. He has served as an adjunct instructor for various courses in religion, ethics, and literature for Robert Morris University over the years.

Brandon and his family live in Squirrel Hill. He is the proud father of two current (and one future) ECS students.

Tiffany Jimenez is the Vice President of Development for Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the agency’s fundraising, marketing, and external communication programs including but not limited to, planning and carrying out the donor acquisition and retention strategies and working with the CEO and Board of Directors to accomplish annual fundraising goals.

Tiffany is also the President and Owner of Tiffany Marie Design Studios, a graphic design company that provides visually compelling marketing materials for small to mid-size businesses and non-profit organizations.

During her 20 years as a Development and Communication professional, Tiffany has raised over $20 million in contributed income and successfully created and implemented marketing campaigns for The Campus Laboratory School of Carlow University, Wesley Family Services, United Way of Allegheny County, Highmark Caring Place, August Wilson Center for African American Culture and North Side Christian Health Center.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Point Park University, and a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Fundraising School at the Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis.

Tiffany serves on the board of A+ Schools and is a member of Leadership Development Initiative X (LDI), Leadership Pittsburgh Inc., and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Madeline (Mattie) Nassida, PsyD is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in the assessment and therapeutic support of neurodivergent children and adolescents as well as those struggling with chronic medical conditions, mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma-related issues. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington & Jefferson College, a master’s degree in professional counseling from Carlow University, and a doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Carlow University.

Mattie completed a predoctoral internship at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, and further specialized her expertise with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Pediatric Neuropsychology in Mt. Lebanon, PA.

Mattie previously served as the Wellness Director of Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, a role in which she aided in establishing policies and procedures for a Wellness Division that was responsible for promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of Yeshiva’s students. She currently practices as a psychologist at the Center for Pediatric Neuropsychology, is the Director of Assessment at Cardigan Psychological,
LLC, and is an adjunct professor at Carlow University, teaching in both the Masters of Psychology and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology programs.

Ellen Romagni is the Senior Director of Operations and Real Estate for Campus Design and Facility Development (CDFD) at Carnegie Mellon University. She oversees business operations including finance, contracts, information systems for capital projects and the real estate portfolio for the University. Campus Design and Facility Development manages the design and construction for the university as well as the Institutional Master Plan and real estate.

Prior to joining CDFD, Ellen worked as the Assistant Director of the Leonard Gelfand Center for Educational Outreach an organization that works with students, faculty and staff to improve educational opportunities in STEM for youth in the Pittsburgh Community.

Ellen received her Bachelor’s in English and Master of Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She recently participated in Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI XXIX class which connected her to PUMP, a nonprofit focused on making Pittsburgh the most dynamic, and diverse place by engaging, educating and mobilizing all young people to create change in our community, where she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. Ellen lives with her husband and son in the Morningside neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Jill Sarada, Ed.D., serves as the Director of Falk Laboratory School and Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to this role, she held various leadership positions including Interim Director 2021-2022, Assistant Director, 2019 – 2021, and Director of Admissions, 2014-2019. She began her career in education as a Kindergarten teacher, from 1999 - 2016.  

As a current Board member and former President of the International Association of Laboratory Schools (IALS), Jill actively works to support learning and collaboration among educators of lab schools and the broader educational community with the goal of improving learning experiences for all children.  

Dave Turner is an attorney and educator.  He serves as legal counsel at System One, a Pittsburgh-based company offering workforce solutions and integrated services across a wide range of industries.  He regularly volunteers with Neighborhood Legal Services and provides free legal representation to victims of abuse.

A certified teacher, Dave has taught in middle and high schools throughout Allegheny County.  He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh.  He also teaches continuing education classes to attorneys and real estate professionals. 

Nick Unkovic is a Senior Director in the Pittsburgh office of JLL Capital Markets with more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. In this role, Nick is responsible for originating and structuring debt and equity placement transactions for all types of commercial real estate. Over the course of his career, Nick has completed more than $2.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions.

Nick has an undergraduate degree from Elon University with a major in finance and minors in economics and mathematics. In addition to his involvement with ECS, Nick has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh as a volunteer for more than 8 years.
