Academic Achievement
As with any public school, standardized testing is an important part of the Environmental Charter School. Standardized tests are a snapshot of student performance. ECS is committed to student growth and as such focuses on the performance value-added scores. The Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS) measures student academic growth over time based on standardized test data. Learn more about ECS PVAAS scores.
In addition to the standardized tests administered for the Pennsyvlania Department of Education, ECS deploys the Northwest Evaluation Association's (NWEA) Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) test to provide teachers and parents information about performance and to support student growth.
